The COVID-19 pandemic has caused major disruptions to daily life and children are feeling these changes deeply. Hence, it is important that children are provided with activities that will not only improve their mental and physical health but will also navigate their feelings toward positivity.
Last November 28, 2020, Rotaractor Bill of the Rotaract Club of Carmen Valley engaged the children of Barangay Iponan, Cagayan De Oro City in a dance workshop session as part of their club’s “”We CARE Project””. Through the workshop, Bill and the other members of the Rotaract Club were able to better understand the thoughts and emotions of children during this pandemic. The dance workshop also made the children realize that they can also use dancing as an alternative way to enjoy and express themselves especially during this time of limited face-to-face encounters.
