The 1st ever Pilipinas Rotaract Olympics officially opened last February 18 with Rotaractors-Athletes nationwide participating in various sports.
One of the games is a sport every Rotaractors love: Badminton. The games was conducted simultaneously in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
In Mindanao, the RID 3870 is the host district while Rotaract Club of Carmen Valley is the lead host club for the tournament for 5 years already. DRRE Stephen Leo Ferrera welcomed the participants during the opening ceremony while the oath of sportsmanship was led by ADRR Jasmin Hallazgo.
A total of 16 pairs joined the tournament which included 9 pairs in mixed doubles and 7 for the men’s doubles. Also, we have a pair from District 3860 who joined the fun!
Players had so much fun playing the games, encouraging each other instead of tearing each other down, in the spirit of sportsmanship. The players also shared a fellowship after the games. We would also like to thank the generous sponsors who made the tournament possible. Winners received cash prizes, medals and tokens from our sponsors.
Congratulations to all the Winners
